"This is the dawning of the age of asparagus, age of asparagus..."

My thanks and love to Jared for the title of today's post. He walks around our apartment singing all of the time, and now that spring is here (and he works at a grocery store), this was the tune of the past week. I can just picture stalks of asparagus dancing around in hippie clothes, their tender shoots waving in the wind... anyway, I digress.

Spring has sprung in a big way down south. The azaleas have bloomed at the Old Well (I will try to remember my camera one of these days to snatch a picture or two). The wisteria have covered the trees and their blooms hang like lavender grapes high above the ground. Most mornings we wake up with a fine yellow-green dust covering everything; there are so many trees that give off pollen, you can often see it floating in the air! It is pretty amazing.

It is supposed to be almost 90 degrees this weekend. I definitely have a trip to the farmer's market planned this weekend: it is strawberry season!!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the tip. :) I have sold old textbooks on Amazon before, but a lot of these books are ones I want to keep. I really do have a problem! Hope things are going well for you.
