Great movies, even for adults!

First of all, I will wholeheartedly admit that I am a sucker for animated movies. When the hubs and I saw "UP" last year on our anniversary, we both were teary at parts of the movie. Of the past 3 movies I have seen in theaters, all of them have been animated. However, I would STRONGLY suggest seeing both "Toy Story 3" and "Despicable Me" if you have the chance. Somehow the writers are able to take a "kids" movie and make it relevant to adults, too. (Even adults without kids.)

Summer shoes

Since all through college I never really had a summer "office" job (I painted fire hydrants one summer and works for the parks department in two others), I don't really have a big selection of summer work clothes. It has been an ongoing process to improve my professional wardrobe, and I think these shoes would be good additions to my collection!

Now, if I can only convince the hubby, who already thinks I own too many shoes...

Rita's

I love Rita's Ice. It came as quite a surprise when we stumbled upon the Rita's in Carrboro after our move: our favorite cold dessert place in one of our favorite towns! Of course, Rita's carries a lot of great memories for me, especially after all of the Tuesday night dollar movie and Rita's nights with Megan. There is just something great about that cold, gritty (in a good way), sweet frozen ice and the combination of the smooth frozen custard (clearly my preference is for the Gelati)

Rita's just really says "summer" for me. Check out their web site to see if there is one near you... you won't be sorry!
